Luke and his team are impeccable, professional, and great value. I had to move from Brisbane to Canberra and Relocation Rangers moved me. Moving is the most stressful time in someone’s life, to know my items are handled with care and consideration by a professional team eased my mind. Would highly recommend asking for a quote and speaking with Luke, he is a an impeccable problem solver and the organisation is client centric and not predatory.Posted on Skye SfTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Will definitely be using relocation rangers again, thanks team!!Posted on Samuel RoubinTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had a really good experience with Relocation Ranges. The crew was hard‑working, easy to deal with, and just genuinely solid operators. They were good guys and during the quiet patch before settlement, they checked in to see if there was anything they could help with instead of just waiting around. Would happily recommend.Posted on Craig ThearTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Thanks Harley and Keiran. Interstate moving costs depend on volume — how much you’re moving — more than anything else. As a general guide for a Brisbane to Melbourne or Brisbane to Sydney move:
1–2 bedroom apartment: typically $3,000–$5,000
3 bedroom house: typically $5,000–$7,500
4–5 bedroom home: typically $6,000–$8,500+
These are estimates only. Your actual fixed quote depends on the volume of items, access at both ends, any specialist items (pianos, pool tables, gym equipment), and whether you need packing. Submit your details and we’ll come back to you with a real number — no guesswork.
We don’t quote interstate moves by the hour. Every long-distance move gets a fixed price — locked in before we touch a single item.
Fixed quotes only for every interstate and long-distance move. Hourly rates make no sense over 1,700+ kilometres — you’d have no idea what you’re paying until the truck pulls up at your new home.
We assess your volume via a video walkthrough or onsite visit, lock in a price, and that’s the number you pay. No fuel surcharges. No per-kilometre add-ons. No surprises at the other end when you’re already 1,700km from home and in no position to argue.
No hidden charges — ever. Everything that could affect your cost is discussed before you commit: specialist items like pianos or safes, packing materials if you’d like us to supply them, or any access challenges at either property (long carries, no lift, narrow stairs).
If it’s not in your written quote, you don’t pay for it. We’ve built a reputation on straightforward pricing and we’re not about to ruin it on move day.
Brisbane to Melbourne is approximately 1,750km. The transit itself takes 2–4 days depending on the load, route, and driver rest requirements under transport regulations.
For a typical household move, you can expect your belongings to arrive 2–3 business days after pickup. We’ll confirm your delivery window before the truck departs Brisbane — so you’re not waiting around at the other end with no idea when to expect us.
Please note – purchasing additional insurance through your home contents insurer to cover moving day is always recommended.
Brisbane to Sydney is approximately 920km — roughly half the distance of the Melbourne run. Most Sydney deliveries happen 1–2 business days after pickup from Brisbane.
We’ll confirm your delivery window when your booking is locked in. If you’re working around lease end dates or need delivery on a specific day, let us know upfront and we’ll do everything we can to make it work.
For direct interstate moves, yes — the same truck and crew handle your move from door to door wherever possible. Your belongings don’t get offloaded into a warehouse and reloaded onto a different truck with strangers handling everything in between.
This is one of the key differences between using a dedicated removalist and a freight broker who’ll consolidate your items with other households. With us, your move is your move — handled with continuity and care from start to finish.
For interstate moves, 3–4 weeks ahead is ideal — particularly if your move date is set by a lease end, settlement date, or a job start. Interstate logistics require more coordination than a local move and availability fills faster.
During peak periods (November through January, and end-of-financial-year), book as early as you can. That said — if you’re in a bind with less notice, call us directly on (07) 3472 7573 and we’ll tell you honestly what we can do. We’d rather have the conversation than have you book someone unreliable because you thought it was too late.
Yes — fully. We carry public liability and transit insurance covering your belongings for the entire journey, from pickup in Brisbane to delivery at your new address. This is not optional — it’s standard on every interstate move we do.
We also strongly recommend taking out short-term contents insurance through your home insurer to cover the moving period. Our transit insurance covers damage caused during the move itself — your contents policy covers anything broader. Both together means you’re properly protected.
Interstate moves demand more rigorous protection than local ones — there’s simply more time on the road, more vibration, and more opportunity for things to shift. Our interstate packing approach reflects that:
Every piece of furniture is blanket-wrapped and protected before loading. Items are secured with heavy-duty straps at multiple points in the truck. Fragile items are individually wrapped, boxed, and stacked correctly so nothing bears weight it shouldn’t. Floor runners protect your property at both ends.
This system has delivered thousands of interstate moves without damage. We don’t cut corners on protection because we know we won’t see you again to fix it.
Yes. For an interstate move, professional packing is worth seriously considering — your belongings are travelling hundreds or thousands of kilometres and proper packing is the single biggest factor in whether things arrive in one piece.
We offer full packing (we handle everything, usually the day before pickup), partial packing (we do the fragile and high-risk items, you handle the rest), and materials-only supply if you prefer to pack yourself but want proper boxes and wrapping. All of it can be quoted and included in your fixed price.
Settlement delays and lease overlaps are common with interstate moves — we plan for them. If your new home isn’t ready when the truck arrives, we can hold your belongings in secure short-term storage at the destination and deliver when you’re ready.
This is something to flag when you’re booking rather than on the day. If there’s any uncertainty around your settlement or lease start date, tell us upfront and we’ll build flexibility into your plan. It’s far easier to solve before the truck leaves Brisbane.
